STEVE FREEMAN

Steve founded Black Watch Premier (BWP Albany & BWP Burlington) in 1997. He is the current Sporting Director for the Club as well as President/Chief Executive Officer. He currently coaches the BWP Albany Boys 2000/01s, 2005s and 2006s. Freeman currently holds the USSF National B License and USC Premier Diploma (Formerly held USSF National A License for 16 years, expired). Steve is profoundly interested in coaching education and player development. He is currently a USC National Staff member, and has been involved with many player development programs like the Super Y League National Camp, the US Club Soccer ID2 National Camps. Freeman was also a board member on National Board of Directors for US Club Soccer for 6 years. Steve also served as the Director of Coaching at Latham Circle Soccer Club for 2 years. Steve is passionate about the sport of soccer and teaching the game to the next generation of elite players. Freeman has been a public elementary school teacher since 1999, and holds his Master’s Degree in Teacher Education/Staff Development. Freeman played collegiately at the Division I level, professionally and semi-professionally for 6 years. Steve has coached scholastically and collegiately, as both a head coach and assistant coach since 1995. Currently, Freeman is the head coach at the Christian Brothers Academy.
