“This is an exciting moment for our academy, our athletes, and the community,” said Steve Freeman, founder of BWP Football Academy. “Having a permanent, dedicated space allows us to provide better coaching, better facilities, and more growth opportunities. We are incredibly grateful to the Kiwanis Club of Latham and to local businessmen Mike Caruso and Albany County Legislator Todd Drake for helping to make this vision a reality. As we enter the 30th year of operation, we can celebrate it with a venue located in the center of the Capital Region near highways and main arteries, allowing many families easier access to our programming.”

The BWP Football Academy, which has been a staple of the region’s football scene for 29 years, is well-known for its top-tier coaching and focus on player development, sportsmanship, and leadership. With this new location, BWP Football Academy plans to broaden its offerings, including new technical training centers, talent ID centers, BWP FA GK Academy clinics, day camps, specialty camps, and recreational leagues, all designed to help players of every skill level reach their full potential.

As always, with a long-term vision to grow and nurture the local soccer talent pool, BWP Football Academy’s new home at Kiwanis Park is poised to become a hub for soccer excellence in the Capital Region. Athletes, coaches, and fans alike can look forward to an exciting future filled with more opportunities and successes for the academy and its players.
